Things That Make Me Smile 5

It's high time I get a post up on Things that Make Me Smile. So here we go =) A big thing that has been keeping me smiling is this awesome Scandinavian wall unit I found on Craigslist for a ridiculously awesome price. I've been keeping my eye out for something like this for a while now, and I've seen a lot of nice units...but I had never been able to find a unit that we could afford. When this one showed up a few weeks ago, I literally couldn't believe it. We jumped on the opportunity and it is now hanging in my living room. It looks so nice, but don't be fooled...that thing was crazy hard to assemble and hang. It almost got the best of me and Gerald, but we persevered and it's up for good now!

We went to visit Gerald's parents for a few days a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful time relaxing and swimming the days away. Lil' girl learned how to swim with just the help of her swimmies. It was so fun to watch her overcome her fears of the water and to see how proud she was of her accomplishments. She's really fun to photograph right now because she always has to make a crazy face and then quick run and look at herself on the camera. It's hard to get a normal looking picture anymore, but I'm actually really enjoying all the silliness.

Check out these fresh organic gourmet potatoes that Gerald grew in our garden! We served them with a venison roast for dinner with some close friends and it was all delicious. It has been so nice having fresh veggies from the garden to eat with our dinners.

I don't know if I've mentioned it yet, but my sister and I were accepted to Indie Craft Parade where we will be selling terrariums like the one pictured above.  I'm super excited about the whole event and can't wait to get everything ready and just enjoy the whole experience. I was doing some catching up on blogs late last night when I ran across a write up of me and my sister on the Indie Craft Parade Blog. I had no idea that they had featured us, so it was quite the shocker! They did an awesome job talking about our terrariums. Check it out here! That little write up has had me walking around with a silly grin on my face ever since I read it last night! We are in the process of getting an Etsy shop going so we can start selling these terrariums. So hopefully soon we'll be more official =)
