Birth

My desire to start a blog was conceived a while back, but for several reasons or maybe excuses, I haven’t gotten around to beginning one until now.  Fear of sounding like an idiot, saying too much, etc., etc. I guess it’s always easier to not try rather than make a mistake trying. Not that I am aiming to achieve some goal or measure of success for this blog. I’ve been wanting an outlet to share what we do. Facebook seemed like a good idea five years ago, but I’ve grown to dislike it. I like the simplicity of a blog...the universal acces...the ability to make it your own.

The first post is of course a daunting one, since it’s kind of a first impression. Kind of like the new kid in school on the playground trying to figure out what to do in regards to playing with the other kids. First impressions are huge! I considered not even putting up an introductory type of post hoping to possibly avoid any newbie awkwardness, but decided to go ahead and make the move.

Through this outlet, I hope to be able to share with family and friends (old and new) what we do. Seems like we’ve always got something going on whether it is a project, a craft, or an event... etc.  I hope this will be a convenient way to compile those things. I am also hoping this blog will serve as a kind of online memory or journal for our family to look back on and remember what we’ve done and where we’ve been.

I chose the title Grade A Fresh from a carton of organic eggs that houses some felt eggs for Little Girl’s toy kitchen. Choosing a name was hard. Really hard. Honestly that was one of my biggest hold ups to getting started. I wanted something original, that would relate to our growing family, and gave an impression of our project orientated life. After creating lists, talking with Erin, and finally just wanting to get started, I went with it. I’ll admit, it’s not a title I look at and think...”yeh, cool! I thought of that!” But it works and it was available.

So I’m probably already rambling (another one of my hold ups in getting started). We’ll go from here and see where this takes us. Hope you enjoy following along.

All our best!
